I am a psychologist and a biosynthetic therapist in training. I work with adult clients under supervision. We can meet for individual sessions in the center of Prague.

I graduated with a degree in psychology from FSS MU and acting from DAMU. Since the first days of the war in Ukraine, I have been working with Ukrainian refugees, which led me to do what I had been putting off for a long time – I started my psychotherapeutic training. I chose biosynthesis, an approach that works not only with words, feelings, and thoughts, but also with the body. I have experienced firsthand that in difficult situations, rational understanding alone does not help much if the body is left behind.

I am currently working as a biosynthetic therapist in training under supervision. Biosynthesis seeks out the internal resources within each person that lead to wholeness – connecting thinking, feeling, and acting. When the head, heart, and body form a single whole, we have more options for how to be with ourselves, how to live in relationships, and how to face life’s challenges. We are more free.

What we can work on
I can walk with you through current crises, challenging life situations, and the decisions that lie ahead of you. We can work on your relationship with yourself, self-confidence, and setting boundaries, as well as topics concerning close relationships, partnership, and intimacy. We can explore your roots, functional and dysfunctional patterns, dreams, and visions for the future, and integrate spiritual and psychedelic experiences. For those living with a chronic illness, I can offer my personal experience with Type 1 diabetes.

Where and how I work
Center “V sobě doma“ (At Home Within), Školská 32, Prague (near the Vodičkova tram stop).

I am currently accepting new clients. Sessions can be conducted in Czech, English, Spanish, Russian, or German.
Our meetings are confidential and adhere to the ethical standards of the European Association of Psychotherapy. The goal of the first session is to get to know each other and map out your needs; only then will we decide whether we are a good fit for further work, both personally and professionally.

Fee
The fee for a 60-minute individual session is 1,200 CZK. (For refugees from Ukraine, the conditions are agreed upon individually based on their individual situation.)

Cancellation Policy
Free cancellation or rescheduling is possible up to 48 hours in advance; after that, a cancellation fee of 100% of the session price applies. The same rule applies to me: if I cancel a session at the last minute, your next consultation will be free of charge. If you fall ill with an acute infectious illness on the day of our session, please contact me as soon as possible. In these exceptional cases, we will resolve the cancellation individually.

How to contact me
Write to me at vaclav.wortner@gmail.com, and we will arrange a time for our first meeting.
